Here at Boningale, we are proud that Kayleigh Rhodes from our Boningale GreenSky division was selected for inclusion in Pro-Landscaper’s inaugural “30 under 30 The Next Generation’ list, as announced recently at Futurescape 2015.
This new initiative, sponsored by Horticulture Careers, has been created to recognise the fact that there is a large group of young people working in the horticulture industry across all sectors and job titles, who at under the age of 30 ‘have already achieved much in their career and are also those to keep an eye in the future’.
Maggie Fennell, Head of Boningale GreenSky, nominated Kayleigh for the award and she said: “Kayleigh has been at Boningale for 4 years now and is an expert in green roofing and other relevant horticultural practices. She handles the sales orders for GreenSky and provides customers with technical support at all levels of green roof planting; advising designers, organising growing contracts and offering maintenance advice.
I’m really thrilled and proud that her achievements have been recognised in this 30 under 30 list.”
Kayleigh studied at Cedars Horticultural College before joining Boningale, and achieved a diploma in horticulture and production. She said: “I’m really honoured to be included in this Top 30 list. I’ve been interested in horticulture since a child so it’s great that I am now able to work in an industry I feel passionate about – and hopefully one day soon I can share my green roof experience and train new recruits in this exciting and growing sector of the market.”
Lisa and Jim Wilkinson from Elijays44, the publishers of Pro Landscaper said: “There was a fantastic response, with many and varied entries for the first 30 under 30, and after careful scrutiny we chose our final 30. Congratulations to all the winners.”
