A small erect herbaceous annual growing to 10-40 cm tall. Like all clovers it has leaves divided into three leaflets, which are slender and sometimes edged with small hairs and finely serrated. The flowers are grouped; each flower is rosy-white colour with silky white hairs which tip the five petals, which are much larger than the petals. The flowers appear from June to September. Is native to the UK and attracts beetles, flies, true bugs, butterflies and moths.
